Basil Tomato Soup

Basil Tomato Soup

Blend 1 quart tomatoes in blender, heat in saucepan.
Add 2 Tbl. Sugar.

In a bigger saucepan, make a white sauce.
1/3 cube butter
1/3 cup flour
Milk

Cook till thick. Pour heated tomatoes into white sauce (Not the other way around!). Whisk till smooth. Add ½ tsp. crushed basil (to taste). Salt and pepper to taste.

This is good with grilled cheese sandwiches!!! We double it for our family. (6 people)
